Meet The Team

Michael Goldberg

Co-Founder, Managing Director & Portfolio Manager

Michael is a Founder, Managing Director and Portfolio Manager of the Fund. Prior to founding the fund, Michael was a senior portfolio manager at a Melbourne based Managed Investments provider. During his time there he managed portfolios for and advised some of Australia’s largest family offices and high net worth individuals.

Michael has a Bachelor’s degree from Monash University where he studied Banking & Finance and Management. Additionally, Michael is RG146 compliant in superannuation, securities and geared investments.

Michael has previous practical experience in the service and retail industry, both through his family business and as the founder of a service business. Michael’s experience gives him a unique insight into business and business relationships enabling him to better understand and identify attractive investments.

Michael and his family are invested in the Collins Street Value Fund on equal footing with all the funds investors.

Vasilios Piperoglou

Co-Founder & Head Analyst

Prior to founding the Fund, Vas managed equity portfolios for wholesale clients at a boutique firm where he was a Portfolio Manager from 2010 through 2014.

Additionally, Vas has managed a private equity portfolio since 2005. Vas has also managed a number of businesses, including a state wide food and beverage business, a highly profitable publishing company and an enterprise within the hospitality industry.

With a wealth of first-hand experience across several industries, Vas has a unique ability to see through much of the market noise and identify quality investments.

Vas is RG146 certified in securities and margin lending and is certified to provide financial advice by the Investment Banking Institute.

Vas and his wife Kate have a substantial personal investment in the Fund – backing the Fund’s ideas with their own capital.

Kosta Ouzas

Investor Relations

Kosta has over 10 years experience building online businesses and platforms for digital marketing.

Having originally founded and sold one of the most successful independent publishing companies on the Apple platform, Kosta joined Collins St Asset Management to pursue his interests in investing, while aiding the business by deploying the tools he has developed and deployed over the years.

Working alongside new investors Kosta guides them through our onboarding process.

Rob Hay

Head of Distribution & Investor Relations

Rob joined Collins Street Asset Management as the Head of Distribution and Investor Relations in 2019. Prior to joining Collins Street Asset Management, Rob has established a 15 year career in the Financial Services industry where he has held a diverse range of national and state based rolls.

Rob’s expertise include distribution, research and advisory across a wide range of product types with a specific focus on providing services to the Wholesale and High Net Worth communities.

Rob has a Master of Business Administration, Juris Doctor, Bachelor of Arts, Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning, is ADA2 qualified and holds a range of industry specific qualifications across equities, margin lending and self-managed superannuation.

As a passionate investor and advocate for investors, Rob is well place to support both existing and prospective investors with any queries or needs that they may have.

Anton Lawrence

Chief Strategist

Anton has over 30 years experience as an investment analyst and fund manager.

Specialising in product structuring, due diligence and regulatory compliance, Anton provides the advice and know how necessary to drive the Fund’s compliance and processes, while also providing invaluable advice on the impact of macroeconomic thematics.

Having been integral in the launch of the Collins Street Value Fund, Anton is heavily invested in the Fund’s success.

Anton is RG146 compliant and is a responsible manager of the Fund’s AFSL.
